Interview process

📞 Introductory phone screen

As the standard approach to vetting applicants, Betterup starts with the phone screen. It'll be a chance for the recruiter to better understand your background, and for you to learn more about the available open roles.

📱 Technical phone screen

With the conclusion of the phone screen comes the more rigirous technical phone screen. This would mainly be a discussion about software engineering and collaboration, and how you come to understand those within the context of Betterup.

🔁 Take home project or code sample

After this discussion of software practices, you will be able to present either a previous project or complete their take-home assignment. This lets Betterup see how you pull together the pieces of a solution, and let you understand how Betterup approaches those same solutions.

🕐 Onsite

Finally, the onsites. Unlike other onsites, this one will primarily have a focus of collaboration and about mindsets - big pictures. You will be able to see more of the team as you talk about these values. Then you'll finish up your rounds with a 30 minute talk with one of the founders.
