L codebase-project

Codebase projects are where the candidate works directly on the company's codebase. If part of it is open source, it may take the form of tackling an open bug on the project and submitting a PR with the fix. It can also be for proprietary codebases, where during an onsite the candidate may spend the day setting up the dev environment and making changes directly to the codebase. Some companies will also compensate for this work, regardless of the final hire decision.
